If odors are present, even faintly, any time you use your hot water, it is likely due to a sediment or mineral buildup in your water heater. If the smell is similar to rotten eggs, you may also be dealing with hydrogen, sulfur, or magnesium. Our knowledgeable technicians can perform a cleaning to address the buildup.

Your garbage disposal is a quick and eco-friendly way to get rid of kitchen waste. However, there are several items that should not be put through it as it can be problematic for the disposal and/or your pipes. FOG (fats, oil and grease) should never be sent down the garbage disposal. The following items, while not an all-inclusive list, should also be kept away from your garbage disposal: eggshells, nuts, shells, coffee grounds, rice, pasta, onion layers, potato peels, seeds, and stringy/fibrous fruits and veggies. Harsh chemicals and non-food items should also be included in your list to avoid. Lastly, do not dispose of anything in bulk. Instead, dispose of food items gradually to ensure that you do not overload or burn out the unit.

Anything associated with waste is bound to smell after a while. Putting a cup of baking soda down your running disposal, then following it with a cup of distilled vinegar is one way to get rid of the odor. Cutting up a lemon into small pieces and dropping them down or using ice are other popular methods as well.

A running toilet is a common household problem and can be easily fixed. However, it is best to address the issue sooner rather than later to avoid costly water bills.

Hydro jetting is when a hose is inserted into pipes and uses high-powered water to blast through obstructions, dirt, and grime.
